Editing Images in Google Photos

I am sorry I was unable to demonstrated editing photos using Google Photos at our meeting this morning. I found out why as soon as I sat down at my desk.  The photos I was trying to edit were all in shared folders:

GooglePhotos does not allow you to edit any photographs in albums that have been shared with anybody else.

You can tell if an album is shared by looking at the album home page"

This album shows a list of everyone it has been shared with and a link symbol.

If I open one of these images that has been uploaded by someone else (Norman in this case) the photo menu does not include an option to edit.

This image was opened from a shared album, there is no option to edit the image.

On the other hand this image was opened from the Photos view and is editable.  Hover over the menu icons and one will allow you to edit.

I will draft another article describing how to use presets and how to crop in Google photos.
