Club Meeting Thursday 14 April
“The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft a-gley.”
Our invitation to meet at St Patrick's Church for a photo session is still open but is not possible for this week's meeting as this week is Holy Week. I will bear it in mind for next month as the church grounds have several crab apple trees which may be in blossom very soon and frame the front of the building to make a favourite area for wedding photographs.
I had then hoped the blue bells in the nearby woods would provide us with a good opportunity but:

| Not quite the carpet of blue we would like. |
Apart from a few early risers they do not yet present that carpet of blue we would be looking for.

| Better as a mass of blooms not a single one |
So I have decided to stay even closer to home and to take advantage of the blossom and late spring flowers close to the Village Hall.
While the daffodils are fading, other flowers are taking their place and several trees have a great display of blossom.

Sharing our Photographs
I have not seen much sign of any photographs being shared by any of you so hope that does not mean you have not been taking any! I would like to think it is because of lack of familiarity with Flickr.
I know some of you are worried about the lack of privacy on Flickr and their recent changes to their terms and conditions so have started to use Google Photos instead and now recommend we switch to that.
I have put the 4 images from this blog post onto Google Photos and you can click here to see them:
I hope we will find time to set this up for everybody on Thursday but in brief it is:
- Create a Google ID, if you do not already have one. If you have a gmail account then you have a Google ID. To create an account: follow these instructions.
- To upload Photos
- Use a web browser
- Install the Google Photos App on your phone/tablet.
- Both are very intuitive and easy to use but we will work through them.

We still have only 1 person subscribing to this blog, thank you Robin (though I did set it up for you) (Update: Also Norman, just realised you were on the list). Please try and subscribe to it so it can become a way to share and discuss our images and any photo problems and questions.
