Bluebells, Spring 2022
After a little bit of waiting and a week after I had hoped we would be able to have a bluebell photoshoot they are now out in profusion.
My first attempts using my iPhone 13 Pro early in the morning were disappointing, all the blues were faded and the images appeared hazy, not like the scene in front of me.After a search on Google I think I found the reason why; Bluebells reflect a lot of infrared light and many cameras, including iPhone 13 pro it seems, filter out this IR light.
I returned to retake the photos around midday when the sun was high; against normal photography best practice but when the IR levels would be lower.
The results were better but still needed a bit of "tweaking" to boost the blues, saturate the colours and reduce the exposure a little. Treading very carefully to avoid any unreal results.
I made these adjustments using Adobe Lightroom on a large computer screen but it is possible to make changes using the iPhone app.
